Hello! Thank you again for venturing to my page. I am currently a stay at home mom to 2 sweet kiddos and welcome the daily invitation to live life at a slower pace. Some of my favorite hobbies include reading, exploring a new coffee shop or brewery and all things Disney. In the fall of 2022, my husband and I, and our daughter who was 18 months old at the time sold our house, bought a camper and hit the road. While we missed our families and friends, having that time on the road really cemented what is the most important things in our life and the time that we have together - thus creating and building our own pocket of “Eden.” Fast forward to life now, we have another little one and are looking forward to the next adventure of homeschooling in another couple years.
I wanted to create Becoming Eden as a “one stop shop” of sorts for moms and families to have as a helpful resource so that they don’t need to spend so much time on researching products or helpful household items, etc, but instead allow more time to focus on their version of “Eden.”
I’m a huge fan of thrift stores, Facebook Marketplace and garage sales so I do find a lot of things that way. For the things I do purchase, I have been looking through a lens of balancing cost and clean products. I am also very sensitive to fragrance so they are tolerable scents if not already unscented as well. The majority of the products we use have lower scores on the EWG app with cleaner ingredients. With that said, there may be “even better” options out there, but they often come with a higher price tag. In our house, we are a fan of when you “know better, do better” while still keeping a realistic budget in order to have resources for other things we value like making memories on family vacations and gifting to others in need.
Anything that is listed on my page are things that have been vetted, tried and are currently using.
